The sizzling sound of fajitas and the tableside theatrics of “Guacamole Live” have all fallen silent as On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina has officially shuttered its only two Long Island locations.

Both the Holtsville restaurant on Middle Avenue and the Hicksville spot in Broadway Mall now bear the tragic, final designation on Google: “Permanently Closed.”

Even the company’s official website has erased any trace of these Tex-Mex outposts, as if they were never part of the On The Border family at all.

Headquartered in Irving, Texas, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina has been slinging fajitas and pouring oversized margaritas since 1982. The company boasts 150 locations throughout the United States and South Korea.

Popular dishes at the Holtsville restaurant, according to Yelp, included the brisket tacos, border bowl, and carne asada.

The closures follow similar moves in several other states, including Massachusetts, Virginia, Michigan, and Arizona, according to the Des Moines Register.
